Here you will find the low down on all our brews! Some of these are on our own taps, in a bottle or at a bar or restaurant near you.

HIGHWAY HAZE HAZY PALE ALE 5.8%

This is a very tasty drop full of juicy hops flavours. Notes of mango, pineapple, and citrus it’s a tropical fruit bowl of aromas and taste.

QUIET ONE LIGHT PALE ALE 2.5%

Why should you miss out on flavour if you want a low alcohol choice? With The “Quiet One” you don’t have to! A Citrus and Tropical fruit medley backed up with a Munich Malt backbone YUM!

THE HAY MAKER IPA 6.6%

A big bold beer, slight haze to look at but brewed in true West Coast IPA style. Notes of passion fruit, guava with a distinct woody finish with a lasting bitterness makes this beer one not for the faint hearted.

PITCH N SHOUT RED IPA 6%

A collaboration beer with Brewshop.co.nz. We introduced them to a Forgotten 43 tradition; when pitching the yeast, we shout at the fermenter. These are shouts of support, like any good team would do, to encourage the yeast to do a fantastic job. And it did, in producing a west coast style Red IPA that has notes of fresh pine and citrus with a hint of sweet malt on the aroma, and a lingering bitterness.

ROTOKARE NZ LAGER 4.5%

Just 12km from the township of Eltham, Rotokare Scenic Reserve is a community-led conservation-based charitable trust in the heart of Taranaki! As the kaitiaki (guardians) of the beautiful Lake Rotokare and its surrounds, they focus on achieving the highest level of restoration, protection & enhancement of Rotokare’s indigenous ecosystem. The Rotokare Lager is a crisp, refreshing lager made with New Zealand hops. A percentage of all profits made from sales of the Rotokare Lager helps support these conservation heroes!

PATEA CLEAR PILSNER 5%

The Patea River flows off the slopes of Mt Taranaki and winds its way through Stratford and central Taranaki to the Coast. Stratford is bisected by this river around which our town began back in 1877. The water we use in our beer is sourced from the Patea River, so we thought it was only fair that we named a beer in honour of the river which delivers us our main ingredient. Crisp, clear and refreshing, our take on a traditional Pilsner. Cheers Patea!

LOST TRACK APA 5.5%

Our take on an American Pale Ale. Bursting with tropical aroma and big juicy flavour, LOST TRACK salutes those pioneers who created ‘tracks’ in the bush which eventually became the roads we use today – but also, it’s because we literally ‘lost track’ of the time when creating this one!

HARDYARDS SESSION PALE ALE 4.2%

With a smooth malty flavour and lightly hopped, HARDYARDS is definitely something the early settlers to this region were familiar with and special to us as it was the name of our first home brew co-op. The story of the beer and the name are intertwined, part of our past and a view of the future. Dedicated to all those who are “Putting in the hard yards”.

BLACK GOLD IRISH MILK STOUT 5%

BLACK GOLD, was created with a nod to two main economic drivers in Taranaki – Petrochemical and Dairy industries. A smooth and velvety beer with a gentle sweetness (from the addition of Lactose) balanced with hints of coffee, chocolate, and edgy liquorice. Put your feet up in front of the fire and savour this ode to industry.

KRAKEN CHILLI STOUT 5%

We got together with a group of our friends to bring you this seasonal special Chocolate Chilli Stout. Jase and Abby from Krakin Chillis bought us a basket full of beautiful chillies and Dave & Jo from Juno Gin were kind enough to distil the chillies for us to add to our Stout. The chocolate malt base perfectly complements the warmth from the chilli. Go on, give it a nudge baby dragon.

LORD NELSON NZ IPA 7%

Just like its namesake the LORD NELSON is a commanding brew. Created to showcase the Nelson Sauvin hop, the original beer came in at a much lower octane. In the process of scaling up we inadvertently fired out this beauty at 7% ABV. We liked it so much we kept it. LORD NELSON is a pale ale with stunning flavour and aroma. Take care though! It does tend to cheekily broadside the unsuspecting.
